Know where AI pays off before you spend on it.

An independent assessment of your AI readiness and the opportunities worth pursuing. Two to three weeks. It ends with a costed 90-day plan that belongs to you, whether or not we work together again.

For businesses that already know AI matters.

You run a technical consultancy, an IT service provider, an MSP or a software business. Your people have tried the tools. You may already sell AI to customers. What you do not have is a clear, costed view of where it would change your own numbers.

That is the gap this assessment closes. It looks at your real processes, your systems and your constraints, then tells you which opportunities are worth the effort, what they would take, and what you could expect back.

You get a plan you can act on in the next 90 days, rather than a maturity score or a generic AI strategy.

Eight things we look at.

The assessment is tailored to your commercial objectives, operating model, technology environment, security requirements and customer obligations. These are the areas it always covers.

  1. Business objectives and performance baseline

Strategic priorities, margin pressures, operational bottlenecks and the measures you already track.

  2. AI maturity and current usage

The tools, capabilities, policies and practices in place today, and who actually uses them.

  3. Process and opportunity assessment

High-value opportunities across core business functions, with focused analysis of your priority workflows.

  4. Technology and security review

Relevant systems, data access, integration options, information protection and governance requirements.

  5. Opportunity prioritisation

Every candidate scored on business value, feasibility, cost, complexity and risk.

  6. Target-state recommendations

Technical approaches, AI operating principles and architectural options that fit your estate.

  7. Benefits and measurement framework

Baseline measures and a method for proving the value after implementation.

  8. Implementation roadmap

A prioritised 90-day plan with work packages, indicative costs, dependencies and ownership.

What you get.

Seven deliverables. Named here exactly as they appear in the statement of work.

  • AI readiness and current-state assessment

Where you start, with evidence, across leadership intent, process clarity, data and systems, security, people capacity and current AI use.

  • Prioritised agentic AI opportunity register

Every candidate workflow scored and ranked, with the roadmap candidates marked.

  • Commercial benefits and measurement framework

The measure, baseline and target for each roadmap workflow. The thing that makes results provable.

  • Security, governance and technology recommendations

What has to be true about access, oversight and audit before anything goes live.

  • Recommended architecture for the highest-priority use cases

Technical approach and options for the workflows worth building first.

  • Phased 90-day implementation roadmap

Work packages, indicative costs, dependencies and who owns what.

  • Executive findings and recommendations presentation

A readout to your leadership team, with the decisions laid out plainly.

How it runs.

Indicative shape over two to three calendar weeks. The phases overlap and flex to your availability. We agree the detail with you at the start, not in a template.

  1. Understand the business
  2. Assess processes and opportunities
  3. Prioritise and define the target state
  4. Recommend and plan

Ends at gate G0: your sponsor accepts the opportunity register and the 90-day roadmap. Both are yours from that point.

What we need from you.

An assessment is only as good as the access it gets. Expect to give real time. We will say how much up front.

  • An executive sponsor and time with the leadership team.

  • Access to function leads for sales, delivery, operations, support and finance.

  • Current performance measures: margin, utilisation, pipeline and service metrics as you have them.

  • A view of your technology estate, information security policies and relevant customer contractual obligations.

  • What you already use: tools, policies and any experiments to date.

The terms, plainly.

No day rates, no open-ended scope. One fixed fee for a defined piece of work, quoted after a first conversation.

Payment terms are agreed in the statement of work.

Who the assessment is for.

The same eight areas, weighted to the workflows that matter in each kind of business.

AI readiness assessment for MSPs

The assessment maps your service desk, onboarding, reporting and account management workflows against your PSA, ITSM and monitoring estate, and scores where governed agents would return the most engineer time per customer.

  • Opportunity register weighted to ticket volume, response time and utilisation.
  • Security review aligned to your customers' contractual and audit requirements.
  • A roadmap your service desk lead and technical lead can both own.

AI readiness assessment for technical consultancies

The assessment follows the work from sale to delivery to invoice: proposals, resourcing, project administration, knowledge capture and billing. It scores where senior time is being spent on work an agent could draft or coordinate.

  • Opportunity register weighted to margin per project and senior utilisation.
  • A measured internal example you can describe credibly to your own clients.
  • A roadmap that fits around billable delivery, not instead of it.

AI readiness assessment for ISVs

The assessment looks at support, onboarding, release communications and customer success, and at how your own product APIs could let agents do that work safely. It scores where margin erodes as the customer count grows.

  • Opportunity register weighted to support cost per customer and onboarding time.
  • Architecture options that use your own product and tooling rather than adding more.
  • A roadmap your engineering lead can execute between releases.

Questions people ask.

Do we have to buy implementation from you afterwards?

No. You own the recommendations and can implement them independently. The assessment is designed to lead into implementation and ongoing enablement if you want that, but it stands on its own.

Is this tied to a particular AI platform or vendor?

No. Recommendations start from your existing estate, security requirements and commercial objectives. Our deepest experience is in the Microsoft ecosystem, and we say so, but we do not assume it is the answer.

Is this AI training for our staff?

No. The assessment identifies where AI-enabled processes would create measurable value and how to implement them safely. Knowledge transfer comes later, as part of enablement.

How much of our time does it take?

Enough to matter. Leadership conversations, process walkthroughs with the people who do the work, and access to systems and numbers. We agree the commitment with you before we start.
