Agentic AI for independent software vendors.
Be Agentic is a UK AI consultancy for independent software vendors with 20 to 100 people. Your engineers are building the product, so we bring the method and the governance, find where agents pay off in support, onboarding and customer success, and build the first workflow alongside them.
AI is on the product roadmap. The support queue is still handled by hand.
A software vendor's operations grow with its customers: support tickets, onboarding and configuration, release communications, renewals. The engineers who could automate them are building the product, and nobody has set up the governance that makes an agent safe to run on customer data.
We start with the operations around the product, not the product. The assessment baselines support, onboarding and customer success workflows with the people who run them and scores where a governed agent would pay off. Implementation builds the first one with one of your engineers, inside your boundary, with the support or success lead approving before anything reaches a customer.
Your product may already have AI features. This is about running your own business on it, so what you tell customers about AI is also true of how you work.
Where agentic AI pays off in a software vendor.
Four places we look first. The assessment decides which comes first in your business.
Support triage and first response
Tickets categorised and answered in draft from your documentation, ticket history and known issues. A support engineer approves before the customer sees anything. Bugs are routed to engineering with the context attached.
Customer onboarding and configuration
Onboarding steps and configuration checks run against your own product APIs, with exceptions raised to the onboarding lead rather than discovered weeks later.
Release communications
Release notes, customer notices and internal briefings drafted from the change log and the tickets each change closes. Product owns the final word.
Customer success signals
Usage, ticket and renewal data brought together so the success lead sees which accounts need attention, with the decision staying theirs.
Three stages, one vocabulary.
The same route for every software vendor we work with. Only the first stage is a packaged, fixed-fee offer.
Assess
Two to three weeks inside your support, onboarding and customer success processes. Every opportunity scored on value, feasibility, cost, complexity and risk. Ends with a 90-day plan you own.
Fixed fee. Quoted on enquiry.
Implement
The first workflow designed, piloted on live tickets and measured against the baseline, co-built with one of your engineers. Access signed off by your head of engineering.
Scoped per roadmap.
Enable
Monthly value reviews, governance and access checks, and knowledge transfer so your engineers build the next workflow without us.
Recurring.
Why not just have the engineers build it?
They could. Three reasons vendors bring us in anyway.
- Time.
Every hour an engineer spends on internal tooling is an hour off the roadmap. We do the finding, the design and the first build with one engineer alongside, not a team.
- Governance on customer data.
Identity, permissions, approval points, logging and a kill switch, designed before the first line is written and signed off by your head of engineering. Customer data stays inside your boundary.
- A method that repeats.
The first workflow comes with the vocabulary, the gates and the measurement your team reuses for the second. Foreground IP is yours; any Be Agentic background IP is registered and licensed to you.
Questions software vendors ask us.
Do you build AI features into our product?
No. We work on the operations around the product: support, onboarding, release communications, customer success. If you want AI features built into the product itself, that is engineering work your team or a development partner should own.
Our support runs on a helpdesk tool with its own AI. Why would we need this?
Built-in AI answers tickets inside one tool. We build governed workflows that cross your helpdesk, documentation, product APIs and customer records, with your rules about who approves what. The helpdesk's own AI can be part of it.
How do you handle customer data?
It stays in your tenant and your boundary. Agents act through your identities and permissions. Every action is logged and the log is yours. Access is designed and signed off before anything is built.
We are not a Microsoft shop. Does that matter?
No. Our experience is deepest in the Microsoft enterprise ecosystem, but no platform is a requirement. We choose the framework that fits your stack.
What does an AI readiness assessment cost for a software vendor?
A fixed fee for a defined scope, quoted after a first conversation. Two to three weeks. No day rates. Implementation work packages are fixed fee or priced against a measured outcome.
Bring us the queue that grows with every customer.
Support, onboarding, release notes: tell us which one your engineers keep getting pulled into, and we will say whether a governed agent would help.
We read every enquiry ourselves and reply personally. The first conversation is about your business, not a pitch.
